There are times you may be willing to share your file, but not necessarily all your research notes and/or facts. However, when exporting your FTM file to GedCom, the program just assumes you want to export everything - the only option you have is to select individuals.

Steps to take in order to share a 'clean' file:
1. Export your file to GedCom
2. Import your GedCom back into FTM
2.a. Upon import, FTM lets you choose which facts and notes to import
3. After the import is complete, export again to GedCom.

You now have a GedCom that shows only the facts and notes you want to share.
